October Tree Health Alert

October Tree Health Alert

Many people look forward to the cooler fall temperatures in October! Despite the relative break in heat and humidity, Virginia weather is known for being variable and somewhat difficult to predict. As we’ve witnessed before, summer-like conditions and day-time temperatures in the mid to upper 80s are not uncommon in the autumn. With that in mind, here are some key points to remember as we continue later into the fall and eventually the dormant season during winter:

If you have a mature tree that looks like it is experiencing premature browning of leaves/leaf loss, die back, and other symptoms of stress, let us know. We have options available to alleviate stress and help your trees recover.

As we move closer to the winter, a more stressed plant will have a greater risk of winter injury if it isn’t taken care of. We recommend being proactive to prevent larger issues from appearing down the road in your valuable trees and shrubs.

As always, we are here to help! Please give us a call if you’re seeing issues on your property.
