Cabling and Bracing

Support cables and bracing rods are often used, or recommended for, trees with co-dominant leaders to support poorly attached or over-sized limbs. Cabling and Bracing helps address limbs suffering from decay, and helps strengthen limbs or unions that have cracked or are splitting.

Support cables are installed in the upper two-thirds of the canopy, generally out of sight, while bracing rods are installed through unions that have split or are likely to split. We install our cabling systems to meet ANSI A3oo Standards for Supplemental Support Systems.
